Web 2.0: Sir Berners-Lee hat gesprochen

Danke, Sir. Jetzt habe ich die höchste Legitimation, um zu sagen "Komm mir nicht mit diesem Web 2.0-Driss". Aus developerWorks Interviews: Tim Berners-Lee (via Webkompetenz-Blog):
LANINGHAM: You know, with Web 2.0, a common explanation out there is Web 1.0 was about connecting computers and making information available; and Web 2 is about connecting people and facilitating new kinds of collaboration. Is that how you see Web 2.0? BERNERS-LEE: Totally not. Web 1.0 was all about connecting people. It was an interactive space, and I think Web 2.0 is of course a piece of jargon, nobody even knows what it means. If Web 2.0 for you is blogs and wikis, then that is people to people. But that was what the Web was supposed to be all along. And in fact, you know, this Web 2.0, quote, it means using the standards which have been produced by all these people working on Web 1.0. It means using the document object model, it means for HTML and SVG and so on, it's using HTTP, so it's building stuff using the Web standards, plus Java script of course. So Web 2.0 for some people it means moving some of the thinking client side so making it more immediate, but the idea of the Web as interaction between people is really what the Web is. That was what it was designed to be as a collaborative space where people can interact.
Ja ihr Journalisten, "der Weblog"-Sager und anderen. Es soll laut historischer Ãœberlieferung sogar Menschen gegeben haben, die noch vor dem Zeitalter der Weblogs gepublisht haben. So ganz ohne PHP und per HTML-Hardcoding mit der Hand. Also tut nicht so, als hätte das Webzeitalter erst mit der Erfindung der Weblogs angefangen.

das Problem ist aber wohl, dass sich dieser ... Idiotenhaufen .. (mir fällt grad kein passenderes Wort dafür ein) GENAU DAS einbilden!

als ob es das WWW anno 1995 noch gar nicht gegeben hätte - da lief wohl noch alles via telegraphenmast und morse-signal *doh*.

Fängt nicht für die meisten Web2-Businessmodeller das Web genau dann an, wenn sie selbst gerade reingekommen sind?

Eigentlich erst, wenn die üblichen meta- und eventbloggenden Ferengis endlich Profit eingefahren haben ;-) Dann laufen sie zu den alten Medien, verkünden stolz was von "Bürgerjournalismus" und "Durchbruch" und schreiben neue Wikipedia-Artikel (bzw. die Geschichte um).

Wo ist der Clou? Dass das Web von Anfang an Menschen verbinden sollte, sollte man eigentlich voraussetzen. Dass sich das heute jedoch in der Masse heute weit anders gemacht wird als vor 10 Jahren, dürfte nach kurzer Ãœberlegung auch klar sein.

1996 waren zwar die Standards und die Technik vorhanden, es fehlte aber die breite Bevölkerung. Dass die heute vorhanden ist, sollte schon diesen kleinen Versionsschritt wert sein...

Ja gut, wenn's nach der Bevölkerung geht, dann sollte man das besser "User 2.0" nennen.

IMHO wäre das zu kurz gegriffen. Denn es gibt ja neue Werkzeuge. Die waren zwar im Prinzip schon vor 10 Jahren möglich. Aber aus gutem Grund gab es die damals nicht.

Das "Web" war nie nur eine Technik, da spielen soziale, kulturelle, auch wirtschaftliche Apekte mit herein. Und wenn man sich ansieht: die meisten Vorstellungen von der Zukunft des Web haben sich dann doch nicht verwirklicht. Stattdessen haben wir Wikipedia, Youtube und Studivz.

Mein Punkt ist: Der Begriff "Web 2.0" hat seine Berechtigung. Man kann ihn jetzt den Marketing-Droiden überlassen (die keinesfalls mit den Ferengi zu verwechseln sind!) oder man kann ihnen den Begriff aus der Hand nehmen.
