Junge, junge, da kriegt man den Mund vor lauter Staunen gar nicht mehr zu:

To sum up, the "photocasting" feature centers around a single undocumented extension element in a namespace that doesn't need to be declared. iPhoto 6 doesn't understand the first thing about HTTP, the first thing about XML, or the first thing about RSS. It ignores features of HTTP that Netscape 4 supported in 1996, and mis-implements features of XML that Microsoft got right in 1997. It ignores 95% of RSS and Atom and gets most of the remaining 5% wrong.

Ausgegangen ist das Ganze von Dave Winer, der wohl ziemlich den Kopf über die Feeds geschüttelt haben muss. Später gab's eine Kopfschüttel-Diskussion bei Sitepoint, die auch bei Sam Ruby weiterging. Dort ist dem Mark das erste mal fast der Kopf vor lauter Schütteln abgefallen und heute gibt es die oben verlinkten Details.

Na ja, ein wenig seltsam ist das schon. Wer auch immer bei Apple die Schnittstelle für iPhoto gemacht hat, scheint sich nicht sehr gut mit den Details von RSS auszukennen.

Hey! Das ist von Apple! Das wird schon seine Richtigkeit haben. Da können sich jetzt nicht irgendwelche dahergelaufenen Leute aufregen. Die Standards müssen bitteschön angepaßt werden:->

Ich hab mir das mal angeguckt und halte das einfach nur für einen Schnellschuss; ich kann die Feeds in allen möglichen Readern öffnen. Safari hat Acid2 auch nicht mit Version 1.0 bestanden. Das Schütteln bleibt trotzdem ;-)
